Facebook Comments For A Dying Friend

As I get older I am becoming more aware of my own mortality, and the fact that even if we live a full life, our time is way to short.

I have a friend who only has a few weeks left, and although he is nearing death; thankfully for his friends near and far, he is still able to use facebook. Many of his friends have been posting pictures and stories of old times which have lightened his spirits and have made him feel loved.

But there was one post by a friend that I thought was so touching and sincere, that I just have to share. It actually really choked me up, and I thought these words were just what I would want to hear in my dying days.

But words like this, for some reason are so hard for many to say, most of us find it hard to express our emotions and discuss death with someone who is dying.

"You have brought sunshine to my life and the lives of others. I am proud to call you a "friend" and "brother" and will miss you. Know that you are loved and will never be alone in the Universe"

If we could all be so brave as to express our feelings like this in a public manner before our friends pass, it would bring such satisfaction, meaning and comfort to our loved ones.
Take that brave step and speak your mind, it will help everyone deal with the inevitable loss.

Google Trends at its Finest - Tits Vs Ass

Google Trends is a fantastic research tool, whether you're researching what product to sell, or whether certain people and areas prefer Tits Vs. Ass.

In my line of work I am always doing research on something to help my clients. The other day a friend was asking me about whether he should get involved in importing a couple of specific products.

I suggested he use online research tools to take the pulse of the searching public, and see what they preferred and whether the number of searches warranted getting involved in these products. So I told him I would send him a link to Google Trends and other research sites that would show him the overall interest in specific topics or products.

I was writing him an email explaining how to use the multiple term comparison by separating the two terms with a comma, and showing him the results. I was trying to think of two interesting terms to compare; and being a guy, of course I thought TITS VS ASS.

This turned out to be a perfect query to show off Google Trends usefulness.

As it turns out the results of my Tits Vs Ass search on Google trends, produced some very interesting results.

As an example, did you know that;

Americans search considerably more for Ass than they do for Tits.
Where as Canada are almost evenly split on T & A with a small preference to Ass.
The UK are huge Tit fans, (Not as in huge tits, but big fans of tits)
Manchester and Birmingham have almost twice the number of tit searches they do ass searches.

And when you break the searches down by language you get more interesting results.
With English as well as the Danish, Germans and Polish, being nearly evenly split between T&A.

But the Arabs are big Ass Fans, more than twice as many Arabic searches for Ass as for tits.

Its also interesting to note that the interest in Tits has declined since the middle of 2008 while ass has been fairly consistent over time. So if you're going to invest in something I would suggest make it ass related not tits. The sagging interest in tits seems to show no signs of letting up.

RCMP Complaints commission on Taser Death of Dziekanski

The Report into the RCMP in-custody Taser death of Mr. Robert Dziekanski on October 14, 2007 has been made public, here is a list of the Key findings of the police complaints commission and brief excerpts.

December 8, 2009

........ The details of the Robert Dziekanski case are now well-known to the public. Simply stated, the conduct of the four members of the RCMP who responded to the 911 calls of a disturbance being caused by Mr. Dziekanski fell short of that expected of members of the RCMP. Additionally, while the subsequent investigation was found to be unbiased, it could have been done better. The CPC report also raises concerns about the manner in which the RCMP communicated with the public following Mr. Dziekanski's death.

It is the CPC's intent that its findings and recommendations contribute to the improvement of policing practices and assist in preventing such a tragedy from recurring.

Key Findings

While they were in the lawful execution of their duties as police officers, the four officers failed to adopt a measured, coordinated and appropriate response to Mr. Dziekanski's reported behaviour.
The senior on-scene RCMP member failed to take charge of the RCMP's response.
No meaningful attempt was made to de-escalate the situation.
No warning—visual or otherwise—was given to Mr. Dziekanski prior to him being tasered by the Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW).
Use of the CEW against Mr. Dziekanski was premature and inappropriate.
The CEW was used multiple times on Mr. Dziekanski without any significant effort made to determine the need for further use.
The RCMP members present should have more actively provided first aid and monitored Mr. Dziekanki's condition.
The four RCMP members inappropriately met alone after the death of Mr. Dziekanski—prior to giving their statements.
The versions of events given to investigators by the four RCMP officers involved in the Vancouver International Airport in-custody death of Robert Dziekanski are not deemed credible by the CPC.
The senior on-scene RCMP member should not have been present at the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) briefing held at the Richmond Detachment on October 14, 2007.
No bias or partiality toward the involved RCMP members was present in the IHIT investigation of the death of Mr. Dziekanski, but the Pritchard video should have been shown to the members before taking statements from them.
The RCMP should have released certain information to the media which would have served to clarify information pertaining to the death of Mr. Dziekanski and corrected erroneous information previously provided without compromising the IHIT investigation.

Its quite obvious that these RCMP members screwed up big time, and the brass covered its ass.
The people of BC and Canada need to demand these RCMP officers be charged criminally, sending a clear message, that this behaviour was wrong and will NOT be tolerated in Canada.

6) The US,UK ,CANADA and AUSTRALIA will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not 'interfere.' They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us 'Ugly Americans' any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH..learn it...or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?

Bullet Impacts in Super High Speed Video

This is some incredibly cool video footage of bullet impacts striking various objects at one million fps. Which is 41,000 times the speed of normal film.

This really gives you an idea how bullets react when impacting different materials. I find the ballistic gel shots most telling as to the amount of hydro-static shock a bullet imparts on not only the wound, but all the tissue around it.
Slow motion bullet strikes on steel and concrete show how the bullet liquefies and sprays molten metals in all directions. The molten spall upon penetration looks pretty nasty as well. No wonder this is a big factor in the design of armored personnel carriers for the military. The spall that penetrates personnel carriers can be worse than the projectile, because it sprays a wide area within.

There is some amazing footage of what appears to be one small caliber projectile striking another in mid flight. As well as others of shotgun pellets impacting targets. What a barrage of lead one shotgun blast can pack.

Hollow point bullets are also very cool to watch, check out the frames around 7:30 of hollow points hitting cement.

Kudos to the movie maker for such an interesting view into a split second of incredible energy dissipation.

Two Choices

What would you do?....you make the choice. Don't look for a punch line, there isn't one. Read it anyway. My question is: Would you have made the same choice?

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves children with learning disabilities, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its

dedicated staff, he offered a question:

'When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does, is done with perfection.

Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do.

Where is the natural order of things in my son?'

The audience was stilled by the query.

The father continued. 'I believe that when a child like Shay, who was mentally and physically disabled comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.'

Then he told the following story:

Shay and I had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, 'Do you think they'll let me play?' I knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but as a father I also understood that if my son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps..

I approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, 'We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning.'

Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. I watched with a small tear in my eye and warmth in my heart. The boys saw my joy at my son being accepted.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three.

In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as I waved to him from the stands.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again.

Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.

At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game?

Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.

However, as Shay stepped up to the

plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact....

The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed.

The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay.

As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.

The game would now be over.

The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman.

Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.

Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates.

Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, 'Shay, run to first!

Run to first!'

Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base.

He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.

Everyone yelled, 'Run to second, run to second!'

Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base.

B y the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team.

He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head.

Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.

All were screaming, 'Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay'

Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, 'Run to third!

Shay, run to third!'

As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, 'Shay, run home! Run home!'

Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team

'That day', said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, 'the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world'.

Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making me so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!

AND NOW A LITTLE FOOT NOTE TO THIS STORY:

We all send thousands of jokes through the e-mail without a second thought, but when it comes to sending messages about life choices, people hesitate.

The crude, vulgar, and often obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion about decency is too often suppressed in our schools and workplaces.

This is really pissing me off.
I get tons of junk mail every day, and its no fuckin wonder!
My friends and any dumbass with an email address send such shit by the boat load and most of it is rehashed hoaxes, spam and worst of all, they include my email address in amongst every fucker in their address book, in the CC or To field.
So everyone who gets this piece of shit mail, also has my address attached to it.
And when they forward it to their idiotic friends, no doubt they will add another 30 email addresses and pass it on.

The spammers have to love the dinks, and noobs.

But what really pisses me off is why, oh why, don't the email clients such as Outlook, thunderbird, hotmail .......... actually warn you not to do this?
It would be very easy for an email software to ask, "I see your emailing multiple people, would you like to hide their addresses from others to protect them from spam?"

Check out these disturbing pictures from a recent protest in England. There is no doubt that these people intend to change the world, and that means your world too. Muslim radicals are a real threat to the western way of life and all who enjoy it. This story forced me to start this new blog. I have another blog, but I am afraid to post anything about the Muslim threat or criticisms of the Muslims for fear of having my freaking head chopped off. Or at least my blog harassed by these freaking NUTS. I have never been a big fan of religion, I really believe it all to be a hoax, scam, rip off.

THERE IS NO GOD, Deal with it! In general I am not against people doing their own thing or their own religion, just don't push it on me. Whether you are JW, Christian, Muslim or Green Martian, I don't give a shit. Until you start affecting my life. And I think many Canadians and Americans are the same. We encourage immigration and welcome those escaping a harsh life and injustice. But people it has become time to take a stand, or it will be way too late.

After reading for so long about the violence, unrest and problems in Europe with Muslims demanding Sharia law, and imposing Muslim beliefs on the population I feel we have to take a stand before Canada and the US are in the same position. We are tolerant which is all fine and good, but our life and ways are quickly being jeopardized. We need to tell our Government that we don't want our countries turned into Muslim controlled territories. I know some will scream racist, and others will ignore the threat, but really people, when is the right time to act? Our Way of life will change, if we do nothing, Just ask the people of England, France, Belgium & Holland
